Bio

I’m a postdoctoral researcher in feminist philosophy at Ghent University in Belgium, where I previously completed my PhD. My doctoral research project was called “Fury: The Value of Feminist Rage”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Tom Claes and funded by FWO Flanders. The project used the frameworks of epistemic injustice and affective injustice to demonstrate the potential value of feminist rage. In September, the book based on my PhD research is being published with Bloomsbury, titled The Value of Feminist Rage: Epistemic and Affective Injustice. You can pre-order your copy now.

Apart from my academic work, I also enjoy engaging in public philosophy. I write essays, articles and opinion pieces for magazines, newspapers, and other media outlets. My writing has been published in De Morgen, De Standaard, The Dutch Review of Books, Bij Nader Inzien, etc. I regularly write literary criticism for De Standaard der Letteren. I also enjoy giving talks and lectures, moderating or participating in panel discussions, and other public speaking engagements. My work has been featured in various media outlets and press coverage. My first book (in Dutch), Kwaad spreken: Wie gelooft de boze vrouw?, was published by Letterwerk in 2023. This work was recently reissued in a volume on feminist philosophy, called Nieuwe feministische filosofie, published by Letterwerk in 2026. I am currently working on my next Dutch book, which will look at credibility through the lens of feminist philosophy.

I am open to collaborations on both writing and speaking engagements, in Dutch and in English. Feel free to get in touch to see if we can work something out!
